Volunteers Needed for Peer Mediation Invitational

Western Justice Center (WJC) is seeking volunteers for the 2016 WJC Peer Mediation Invitational to assist with administration of this annual educational workshop and celebration of peer mediators. Peer mediators are young people who are trained in a special process to help their fellow students resolve their conflicts with one another in mutually satisfying ways. This special event honors and encourages the dedicated youth who play such an important role in making schools safe for all students.

Volunteers will be asked to:

  • Direct participants to different places in both the Western Justice Center and the courthouse as well as between both sites.
  • Help register students as they arrive.
  • Dress code is casual.
  • Lunch is provided.

DATE(S):
2/23/16 (Tuesday) - elementary and middle school day
2/24/16 (Wednesday) - high school day
TIME: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (volunteers who are only able to assist from 7:30-12:30 are also needed)
