Seeking a Social Network and App Developer

We are looking for a programmer who can take over the development of our existing online social media/learning platform and bring it to the next level. We need someone to complete our vision for this platform and maintain and update the site as we grow over time. Applicants must be reliable and responsive while sharing a passion for the work that we are doing.

Haven Social Network is designed for high school student groups that are actively engaged in making their schools safe places. It is meant to be safe online space to share resources, learn from each other, and learn from Haven’s team of experts and hosts.

Currently, Haven’s framework is built but we are looking to update the look and functionality including the addition of learning modules and a mobile app (iOs and Android).

Current Build

  • ASP.NET/C# forms although a large amount of the more complex interactions are coded using JavaScript and web services to improve responsiveness.
  • A class-based, data management tier provides structured interaction with the database.
  • Business logic is incorporated into classes and web services.
  • The mobile app is built using Telerik App Builder and is a hybrid app.
  • The app is built using HTML 5, JQuery mobile and Javascript. The Telerik platform automatically packages the hybrid app for iOS, Android and Windows.
  • The mobile app uses JSON-based web services connected to the main site to provide data integration.
  • The mobile app is fully integrated with the main site data model and any change made to the main site is automatically displayed in the mobile app.

Qualified developers can request a code review and documentation.
