Signature Trainings and Customized Solutions

Below is a selection of our signature training programs. In addition to these, WJC partners with schools, community-based organizations, and institutions to design customized, responsive training and support. These tailored offerings are grounded in restorative justice and conflict resolution education, helping partners build sustainable practices within their communities.

ABCs of Conflict: Building Capacity for Restorative Practice

We know that sustained change requires targeted professional learning and practical implementation tools. ABC’s of Conflict is our flagship four-day training for TK–12 educators, site leaders, after-school staff, and youth-serving professionals committed to building restorative cultures.

With two skills-based tracks—Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding—participants gain foundational knowledge, practice proven techniques, and develop actionable site plans for launching or strengthening restorative justice and peer mediation initiatives. The Peacebuilding track develops circle facilitation expertise for use in classrooms and across campus. The Peacekeeping track provides hands-on training in peer mediation, equipping teams to support students as they learn to resolve conflicts and lead positive change. Learn More

Mediation Bootcamp: Equipping Student Leaders for Lasting Impact

We recognize that empowering students creates ripple effects across campus culture. Mediation Bootcamp is an integral part of our conflict-resolution education strategy, offered throughout the school year to student leaders. This hands-on training equips students with core conflict-resolution and peer-mediation skills, preparing them to lead as peer mediators and to support the launch or expansion of peer mediation programs at their schools.

Training addresses confidentiality, neutrality, de-escalation, structured dialogue, empathic listening, and collaborative problem-solving—skills essential for cultivating safe, inclusive learning environments. Students leave Bootcamp ready to mediate real-life conflicts and serve as catalysts for positive change schoolwide and in their communities. Learn More

Restorative Circle Workshops: Building a Culture of Belonging

We know that belonging and trust are the foundation for academic and behavioral success. Our Restorative Circle Workshops provide tailored, on-campus training for students, educators, administrators, parents and community stakeholders.

Sessions are designed to meet the unique needs of each school community and may focus on strengthening relationships, establishing shared norms, facilitating curriculum-based discussions, or addressing conflict and repairing harm. Participants gain practical facilitation skills, enabling them to lead community-building and responsive circles that foster dialogue, trust, and a restorative, inclusive school culture. Learn More

Peer Mediation Invitational: Showcasing Student-Led Solutions

We believe in elevating youth voices and leadership. The Peer Mediation Invitational (PMI) brings together student leaders from across Los Angeles to deepen conflict resolution skills and share best practices in student-led mediation and restorative approaches.

PMI fosters peer mentorship, civic engagement, and community change through dynamic workshops and collaborative learning.
