Champion of Justice Award

Patricia L. Glaser

Partner and Chair, Litigation Department at Glaser Weil

Western Justice Center is proud to present the Champion of Justice Award to Patricia L. Glaser at this year’s Empower Gala, in recognition of her exceptional commitment to justice and profound impact on the community.

Patricia L. Glaser is one of the nation’s leading trial lawyers and Chair of Glaser Weil’s Litigation Department. Renowned for handling high-stakes, complex disputes, she has represented Fortune 500 companies, major entertainment studios, financial institutions, real estate developers and prominent public figures throughout her distinguished career.

A nationally recognized litigator, Patty has earned top honors from Chambers & Partners, Benchmark Litigation, Legal 500, the Daily Journal, and numerous other leading legal publications. For more than a decade, the Los Angeles Business Journal has included her in the LA500, recognizing the region’s most influential leaders. Patty was recently named Variety’s sole 2026 Power of Law honoree for her contributions to the entertainment industry and received ALM/Law.com’s Law Firm Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also selected as one of only 17 attorneys statewide to receive the Daily Journal’s inaugural Distinguished Counsel honor. Under her leadership, Glaser Weil has built one of California’s premier litigation practices while mentoring generations of exceptional trial lawyers.

Beyond her extraordinary legal career—which is still very active, Patty has devoted countless hours to advancing education, healthcare, the arts and civic engagement. She serves on the boards of The Music Center Theatre Group, The Geffen Playhouse, and the AltaMed Foundation, and has held leadership roles with the American Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, UCLA’s Israel Studies Program, Catalyst California, and numerous other organizations dedicated to opportunity, equity and public service. Through her philanthropy, governance and mentorship, Patty has strengthened institutions, expanded opportunities for others, and exemplified the ideals of leadership and justice that this award celebrates.
