Maggie serves as the Director of Programs and Partnerships at Western Justice Center. In this role, she supervises a team of managers working in the field and works to strengthen our program work. She also leads collaborations with community partners to develop innovative, mission-aligned strategies that expand the organization’s work and increase access to restorative practices and conflict resolution education.

Maggie brings more than a decade of experience in program management and nonprofit sustainability, with a background spanning philanthropic and educational settings. Her experience encompasses the full spectrum of education, from elementary through higher education, giving her a broad understanding of the systems and communities that shape learning and opportunity.
Previously, Maggie worked at Liberty Hill Foundation, where she supported the implementation of power-building investment strategies advancing social justice and equity across Los Angeles County. Her work included investing in youth development initiatives and building public-private partnerships, including Ready to Rise, a County initiative focused on reducing recidivism and expanding alternatives to incarceration.

Our work plays an important role in shaping the future of education and the future of our communities. Our work is fundamental to building a more just and equitable society, one that values differences, embraces different perspectives, and nurtures a racial diverse democracy. Young people deserve to be equipped with the skills to navigate conflict, engage across differences, elevate their voices, and use those skills to become agents of change in their own communities.

My educational experiences were a driving force in my own life, opening doors and creating opportunities that might not otherwise have been available to me. That experience has shaped my commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people and ensuring they have the tools and support to shape the communities and world they want to see.

Maggie earned her degree from University of California, Berkeley in Political Science. She has also attended California State University, Los Angeles to receive a certificate in Project Management.
