Empowering The Next Generation Of Peacebuilders

At WJC, we’re igniting a movement—where students don’t just learn about peace, they live it, model it, and become catalysts for change in their schools and beyond. When young people are equipped with real-world tools to navigate conflict, they transform their campuses: trust grows, violence drops, test scores climb, and school communities thrive. But real, lasting impact is a collective effort. Every educator, family member, and community partner is part of this village of change-makers.

Our work is bold, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that every school can be a hub of empathy, leadership, and belonging. We center youth voice, build conflict-resolution capacity, support educators, and drive systems change through our whole-school approach—delivering not just programs but a new way of being together.

How We Work: A Holistic, Preventive Approach

Conflict resolution education and restorative practices are like preventive health care — an investment that helps prevent problems from escalating and equips communities to face crises when they occur. With tools to foster empathy, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving, we walk alongside educators, counselors, and administrators to help schools shift their culture and practices, not just their policies. Our year-round work includes:

    • Deliver conflict resolution education training to educators and youth
    • Provide trauma-informed coaching for staff and administrators
    • Offer on-site support for peer mediation and restorative circle programs
    • Connect communities with mentorship from legal and mediation professionals

Student Leaders at the Center: Empowering the Next Generation

We believe true transformation happens when students take the wheel, which is why we train and mobilize young people to serve as peer mediators, circle facilitators, and community builders. Empowered students become empowered leaders, bringing communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills into every aspect of their lives. WJC-trained youth are already making waves—advocating for wellness centers, ethnic studies, student government reform, neurodiversity support, and more.
