HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED?

WJC envisions a world in which communities are healed, united, and transformed through conflict resolution education and restorative practices rooted in equity, justice, and opportunity.

Over the next four years, WJC will train and mobilize 1,000 students, educators, and volunteers with the skills to transform school and community environments for more than 15,000 youth in our region. This base of committed youth and adult practitioners plus the data these regional efforts provide will be leveraged to advance our long-term goal of facilitating the adoption of conflict resolution education and other restorative practices in schools statewide.

These are big goals, and we need your help to achieve them.

Join the WJC Team by becoming a mediation mentor, a curriculum designer or student intern. We are looking for college and graduate school students as well as retired professionals to volunteer with our program team. For more details, email Shaune Gatlin.

Here are a few ways you can get involved:

  • Become a WJC leader by serving on our Board of Directors, Program Advisory Council or Gala Committee. We are looking for people with a passion for our mission and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get to work. For more details, email Elissa Barrett.

  • Adopt a WJC partner school by bringing resources, supplies and volunteers to communities we serve. We are looking for companies with a commitment to equity and opportunity to help us build a brighter future for our youth. For more details, email Alexis Chang.

  • Join the WJC Community by learning how to bring conflict resolution education and restorative practices to your school or community. We are looking for students, educators, counselors, administrators and after school providers to train with us.
